UI DESIGNER

1979 To Present

My journey began in 1979 with an Atari 800, I used visual basic to write a program that kept track of his video store rentals, It wasn't pretty but I realized the potential . I gradually gained experience with NEC/Honeywell systems, IBM mainframes and then the IBM PC revolution. UI was a large part of my work designing user input screens and the related data mapping.

UI/UX DESIGNER

1984 To Present

In 1984 Prodigy Communications released the Internet for home users turning their phones into a 300 baud communications devices. It was a turning point in history. While still designing input screens it became apparent that how the user perceived the input screen affected their use of the program. I have carried concept that into web development projects.

1996 To Present

Software began appearing to help with web site development. We began using Net Objects Fusion as a platform along with Microsoft Access as a database engine. I used this primarily for in house applications, then it happened, Go Daddy released it's hosting platform in 1997. Up until then an internet presence was time consuming to start, now anyone could buy a Domain and hosting. Over the last 25 years the evolution of the Internet has accelerated and tools have grown and become more accessible. In the mid 90's more website builder software started to appear like Dreamweaver and Elementor, When Wordpress arrived in 2003 it started another revolution in platform spaces.
